At Injini, making quality education accessible to those who need it most has always been at the core of our mission. This driving force fuels our work and answers our "why." For the past two years, we've had the privilege of partnering with the Mastercard Foundation to deliver the EdTech Fellowship Program in South Africa. Through this program and previous initiatives, we've connected with incredible EdTech entrepreneurs who share our vision of positively impacting educational outcomes across Africa.

These connections have encouraged us to continue pursuing our mission, knowing we are part of a broader community striving towards the same goal. That's why we look forward to the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Conference, which will take place in Nigeria from 8 to 10 July 2024. At this conference, EdTech pioneers from across the continent will convene.

The conference theme, "Education Technology for Resilient and Inclusive Learning in Africa," resonates with us at Injini. We are excited to participate in discussions on building resilient and inclusive education platforms to address sub-Saharan Africa's high education exclusion rate, as UNESCO highlighted.

A few key aspects that we are looking forward to at the conference include:

1. Collaborating with the ecosystem: Collaborating is crucial for tackling educational challenges. There's immense potential for collective impact by working together rather than in silos.

2. Exploring cutting-edge ideas: The conference promises to delve into the current state of Africa's EdTech ecosystem, emerging trends, and the role of technology in solving educational challenges.

3. Fostering an enabling environment: Discussions will likely focus on policies that nurture an environment conducive to technology-driven innovation in education.

This inaugural event, hosted jointly by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Mastercard Foundation's Centre for Innovative Teaching and Learning, promises to be a high-level convening of stakeholders committed to accelerating quality and equitable education for young people through technology.

We are excited to share expertise with EdTech ecosystem stakeholders from across the continent. We work at the nexus of education and ICT to develop practical solutions to increase access to quality, relevant, and inclusive education in Africa. Ensure that you follow us on social media and keep an eye on our blog page, as we will share critical takeouts from the event. You can find us on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter (X).
